2-Keep sake flower craft

what you need-

1- Large piece of white construction paper

2-1 piece of blur or pink construction paper

3-Green finger paint

4- A Picture of you

5-Scissors

6-Glue

7-Large round drinking glass

8-Pen

Instructions

1- Lay the picture of you in a flat surface , and place the round glass over it with the mouth of the glass facing down.Centre the glass over the part of picture you want to keep.

2- Trace around the outside of the round glass with a pen .once you have selected the area of the photos you wish to keep.

3-Remoce the round glass and cut out the photos along the lines of the circle that you made on it with the pen.

4-Glue your cut out circle picture onto the piece of white construction paper. Centre the picture into the middle of the paper but place it towards the top leaving about 3-4 inches from the top of the paper.

5-Cut out several flower petal shapes from the piece of pink or blue construction paper.(User pink if your a girl and blue if your a boy)

6- Glue flower petals all along the edges of the round picture on the white construction paper.This should form a flower with the picture at its centre.

7-Dip just the tip of your finger into the green finger paint and draw a step for the flower using thier fingers .Make the stem go to the bottom of the piece of white construction paper.

8- cover the rest of your hand with the green finger paint , making sure that all areas of your hand is covered .

9-Place your hands one on each side of the bottom of the stem on the white construction paper.This will leave your handprints on the paper and they will serve as leaves or grass at the base of the flower stem

10- let the finger paint dry and wash your hand.

11-Sit back and admire your work!!!:)

3- Plastic and yarn picture frame.

What you need?

1-Thick , flexible clear plastic.

2-photo frame

3-hole punch

4-yarn , twine or other thick thread

5-scissors

6-glue

7-stickers-optional

8-thick needle-optional

Instructions-

1-Choose a photo to frame.

2-Choose a shape for your frame.

3-Cut 2 pieces of plastic; one for the front and one for the back of the frame. Make sure the plastic is about 1 inch larger than the photo on all sides.

**All sorts of shapes look good. To cut an oval or heart shape, draw half the shape on a folded piece of paper, then cut it. Use this template for cutting the plastic.**

4-Put the 2 pieces of plastic together (without the photograph). Using a hole punch, make a series of holes all around the edge of the frame.

5-Place the photo on one piece of plastic and position it where it will look best. You may need to trim the photo. A dab of glue on the back of the photo will keep it in place.

6-Decorate with stickers or labels.

7-Put the second piece of plastic on top of the first, matching the holes exactly.

8-Using yarn, twine, embroidery floss, or other thick thread, "sew" up the edges of the frame. Older children can use an upholstery needle. For younger ones, a bit of nail polish put on the end of the string (let it dry first) will act like a needle.

9-Attach a short loop of yarn for hanging the frame.

4-Family collage craft.

What you need-

1-Family photos

2-scissors

5-Markers to decorate your collage

Instructions-

1-Cut a variety of pictures of family members from photos. Make sure you ask your parents before you cut any photos!

2-Glue the pictures onto the paper or posterboard.

3-Decorate the collage using markers. If you want label the pictures and write the dates and descriptions of what the people are doing.

6-Twig Easel Craft

What you need-

1-Twigs

2-Garden Clippers(Tell and adult to cut the twigs)

3-Hot glue gun(Tell an adult to apply the hot glue)

4-Twine or yarn

5-Scissors

6-Card board (Small piece)

7-Crayons markers or paints

Instructions-

1-Cut three long twigs and one short one.

2-Hot glue two of the long twigs and the short twig together, forming an A shape.

3-Wrap the joints with twine or yarn.

4-Glue the remaining long twig to the A shape you just made, forming a tripod (a three-legged stand).

5-Wrap the joint with twine or yarn..

6-Cut a piece of cardboard that will fit on your easel.

7-Paint or draw a picture on the cardboard.

8-Cut four twigs to fit around your painting.

9-Using hot glue, glue the twigs around the cardboard, forming a rustic frame.

10-Rest your framed picture on your easel for a really cute display.

7-Hand Print Craft-

What you need-

1-Plaster of Paris

2-Large Plastoc bowl

3-Aluminium pie plate or Plastic lid

4-Large paper clip

5-disposable plastic goves

6-Permanant marker

Instructions-

**This is a messy craft - wear old clothes and work outside if possible.Have an adult mix the plaster of Paris. Before starting, collect a large container to mix the plaster in and a wide container (like an aluminum pie plate or a plastic lid) to mold the handprint in.**

1-Have an adult mix a small amount of Plaster of Paris with water in a sturdy container (a disposable plastic container is the easiest) - the plaster should be stiff but creamy. Do not mix the plaster with your hands - use a stick as a stirrer. Wear plastic gloves to protect your hands. Do not breathe in the plaster dust.

2-Pour the plaster into the flat container. Have the child quickly make a handprint (or a footprint) in the plaster. Wash the child's hand immediately afterwards (prolonged exposure to plaster can burn the skin).

3-Before the Plaster of Paris hardens, push a partly unfolded paper clip into the plaster (this is how you will hang it on the wall) - or use a straw to make a hole in the plaster. The plaster will be completely dry in about a day, but you can take it out of the molding container after about 20 minutes.

**Don't forget to write the name of the child, the date, and the age of the child on the plaster using a permanent marker.**

5-Memory Box Craft

What you need-

1-An old cigar box

2-Memontos of the year (like awards , ribbons, a paper handprint , photos , drawings, playbills ,ticket stubs, pressed flowers, clippings , hand written poems ,scraps of fabric , sea shells,trinkets , etc.)

3-Glue

4-Paint , Permanant markers and or /glitter

Instructions-

1- Decorate the outside of the box

2-Arrange the momentos in the inside of the box and glue them in securely .
